Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PixelResume, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

If you're using PixelResume on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Use accurate information when registering (real email so you can recover the account).
• Keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately and change your password.

3. What you can and can't do

You can use PixelResume to create, edit, store, and export your own resume(s). You can use the exported PDFs for any lawful purpose, including commercial use (job applications, freelance proposals, etc.).

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or violates someone else's rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, abuse, or overwhelm the service.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with someone.
• Resell or redistribute the service (including PDFs as a paid template marketplace).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Pricing & payments

• Free plan: Always free. Includes 1 saved resume, 3 PDF exports per week, and a small "Made with PixelResume" branding on PDFs.
• Pro plan: $5.99 USD for 6 months of access. One-time payment. Your card will not be automatically charged again. When the 6 months end, your account simply reverts to the Free plan.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Refunds: If you're not satisfied within 7 days of purchase, email us and we'll refund you, no questions asked.
• Prices may change in the future, but only for new purchases; existing Pro periods will not be affected.

5. Your content

You own everything you put into PixelResume. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you (e.g., generating PDFs, rendering previews).

We do not use your content to train AI models, advertise to you, or share with anyone for any purpose other than running the service.

6. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to features. We'll try to minimize disruption and announce major changes in advance.

We may discontinue the service entirely, but if we do, we'll give all users at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.

7. Termination

By you: You can delete your account anytime from the Account page. All your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms (especially abuse, fraud, or illegal content). For Pro accounts terminated by us for cause, no refund will be given. For accidental terminations, we'll work with you to restore access or refund.

8. Disclaimers

PixelResume is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the service will be error-free, secure, or always available. We don't promise your resume will land you a job.

You're responsible for keeping your own backup of important data (you can export PDFs anytime).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixelResume and its operator (Richard Novotny) are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim (which for Free users is $0).

10. EU consumer rights: right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).

However, by completing your purchase, you expressly request that we begin providing the Pro service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has begun and is fully performed. In practice: if you have already used Pro features after purchase, the right of withdrawal is waived.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal before using any Pro features, contact us at support@pixelresume.com within 14 days of purchase. We will refund the full amount within 14 days.

This is in addition to our voluntary 7-day refund policy (Section 4), which applies regardless of whether you have used Pro features.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform for out-of-court dispute resolution.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll notify registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the new Terms. If you don't accept, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
